LISTENING PRAYER: HOW TO PRACTICE HIS PRESENCE

Apr.17.2018 Spiritual walk

LISTENING PRAYER |
PRACTICING HIS PRESENCE
Start your day with him.
As soon as you wake up, be quiet.
God’s whisper comes to us without fail … pure, honest, loving
and unselfish. You’ll know it when God speaks to your heart
and mind.

Be still; wait in silence for him.
The Holy Spirit will teach
you all things, guide you into all truth. Be still, and know that I
am God (Psalm 46:10).
God often has to correct before he can direct. Listen and he will tell you where you need to repent.
Where God guides, God provides.
He provides the courage and power to obey. When we do what he asks us to do, he
does for us what we cannot do. He meets us at the point of
our deepest need.

My task: To do God’s will… to forgive and not complain …
relax instead of strain…
be patient instead of mad … rejoice
and be exceedingly glad … to take up my cross, crucify self
and pride … let God be my guide.
